Fitman's Farewell Ride

I arrived early at the Leg Iron, looking forward to my first serious ride of the year. Due to the poor weather of late I didn’t think many Moo`s would show up. So i was pleasantly surprised when a good group of lads turned up, far too many to count (16).

Straight up the forestry and we tackled Ade's run, the going was damp to moist, but the herd battled on and where soon spewing onto the road at the Hairybush.

Next the herd where thrilled to hear that Ochywyth was on the cards, Reg was heard grumbling but i was sure that was more to do with the current poor clothes drying weather.

About halfway up Ocher the heavens decided to open and we were gratefully cooled by some delicious precipitation.

We all made it to the cattle grid and i announced that next up was a quick climb to the mast and then a jaunt down Carpet, lovely.

Is a conspiracy among a group of individuals (typically members of the military; or the crew of a mtb club) to openly oppose, change or overthrow a lawful authority to which they are subject.

Rats off a sinking ship, never have I seen so many Moos disappear so quickly (apart from Crockys ride). Myself, Jock, Crock, Andy and Mark battled the grim conditions and would have enjoyed Carpet if the fog had been slightly less dense. I don’t think i have ever been wetter on a Moo ride.

Back then to the Rugby Club to meet up with the herd and there was much rejoicing.

Kind Regards
